Beauty Haul

So here goes my first post. I have been feeling quite "spendy" lately and decided to go ahead and order some new beauty products to try out.

GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment, Oribe Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray, Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (Caramel), YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush Lips & Cheeks (11 Prune Impertinente), Boscia Clear Complexion Blotting Linens, Nirvana Black Rollerball - Elizabeth and James, Marc Jacobs Perfection Powder - Featherweight Finish (Golden Fawn)

GlamGlow Youthmud™ Tinglexfoliate Treatment

I had already tried out the smaller (0.5 oz) version of the GlamGlow mud mask and I found myself buying it over and over again, so I decided that the mask was good enough to spend the solid $69.00 on the bigger 1.7 oz tub. I was reluctant at first, so I thought I would try out the small tub for $19.00, which I thought was a reasonable price and amount, because it ended up lasting for around 5 or 6 applications. When I first applied the mask (I put it on before showering, waited like 15 minutes, and washed it off in the shower), I noticed the biggest difference in my skin. My pores looked smaller, my acne scarring seemed to be less prominent, the blackheads on my nose seemed to appear less, my skin looked bright, and overall my skin just felt really nice and clean. I apply the mask about 2 or 3 times a week and it gives me the same results every time, so I definitely feel justified buying the bigger version, because it's worth the money for me. I'd rather be spending money on one product I know that works (and lasts a while for the amount of product I am buying), than trying to buy and test out a bunch of products that don't have the same effects or aren't as effective. Also, I don't mind spending more on skincare, because it's worth it for me. This mask really made a difference in my skin that I can notice and others as well. The first day I used this mask, my mom saw my skin and commented that it looked really nice and every single time I use it, she can tell. I see her everyday and she's seen me use tons of products for skincare, and for her to make a comment about how this mask works, definitely verified my opinion on this product even more. I have normal to dry skin with a tiny bit of hyper pigmentation, blackheads on my nose, and appearance of large pores around the sides of the nose, but I feel like this mask will be beneficial for anyone trying to improve their skin or just to keep skin looking (and feeling) nice. If you're on the fence about whether or not you should get this mud mask or if it's worth it, I definitely suggest that you try out the small version for $19.00 and test it out to decide for yourself if you think it's worth the money.

Here's where you can get it (I bought mine from Sephora):

Oribe

I bought the Oribe Purse Size Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray (2.1 fl. oz.) and Dry Texturizing Spray (2.2 fl. oz.) after hearing a lot of hype over them around the beauty community online. So far, I've only used them twice and have loved it! I left my hair to dry naturally the first time I used the Apreas Beach Spray, and my hair dried to a more polished wavey texture than usual. The second time I used it, I waved my hair with a curling wand and used the Apres Beach Spray to enhance the waves. I loved the effect and felt like it helped the shape of the waves and made them last a bit longer. I hate using hairspray and I felt like I could use the Apres Beach Spray as an alternative. It doesn't leave any residue in your hair. You can run your fingers through your hair without it feeling sticky or hard or even like you put any product in it, which was definitely a plus. I used the Dry Texturizing Spray for volume when I styled my waves. I felt like it added nice volume without making my hair feel like it had too much product in it. So far, every "volumizing" hair product I have used left my hair hard or sticky or just made my hair feel "fakely" volumized (even if it looked good, when I touched my hair, it was obvious there was product in it). This dry texturizing spray adds volume without making your hair feel hard or teased. I still haven't used these products for long enough to say whether or not I would purchase the bigger versions or whether I would even purchase them again, but so far I do like using them. I'll review these hair products once I've used them for a bit longer!

Oribe Purse Size Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray and Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
I bought these from Bluemercury:

Oribe Purse Size Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray (2.1 fl. oz.) - $21.50

Oribe 2.2 fl. oz. Dry Texturizing Spray - $21.50

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

I am the color caramel in the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. I'm really excited to try this concealer. I've heard great things about it and can't wait to see if it works well for me. I've been looking for a good concealer to cover up my blemishes, so hopefully this works! I'll post a review for it once I've used it and made up my mind about it.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Caramel (0.22 oz) - $29.00

Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush Lips & Cheeks

I like matte lips more than glossy ones, so I never got into YSL glossy stains or any of their lip products before, but I saw this online and thought I would give it a try. I loved the color 11 Prune Impertinente and decided to give it a try! Hopefully I like it. I'll probably use it more for a lipstick/lip stain rather than for blush, but I'll let you guys know what I think once I play around with this product a bit more!

YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush - 11 Prune Impertinente (0.33 oz) - $40.00

Boscia Clear Complexion Blotting Linens

These are just a life saver! They're my favorite blotting papers and I use them all the time to refresh my makeup. This was just a restock purchase, nothing too exciting, but I still recommend them highly if you're looking for something good to use for blotting! I also sometimes use these while I do my eye makeup to reduce fall out and they work really well! They obviously don't stick to your face, but if you place it just right under the eye and work on your eye makeup (especially when you're doing a smokey eye), these blotting linens absorb any excess oil in the process and help you not create a mess on your face, which is always a plus!

Boscia Clear Complexion Blotting Linens (100 Sheets) - $10.00

Marc Jacobs Perfection Powder - Featherweight Finish (Golden Fawn)

I'm really excited to try out this product. It's my first purchase from Marc Jacobs Beauty and I really hope I like it. So far, I am obsessed with the packaging (as everyone probably is). It's so sleek and chic and absolutely perfect! But now, the question is, is the product as good as the packaging? We shall see...

Here's where I bought mine:

Marc Jacobs Perfection Powder - Featherweight Finish (0.38 oz) - $46.00

Elizabeth and James - Nirvana Black

I also got the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black rollerball 250 point perk at Sephora, so I could give this scent a try! I'll let you all know what I think soon.

So, this was my haul. Quite a lot of products...maybe a little too much (?), but hopefully they're all worth the purchase. I'll post reviews soon :)
